Toby Oakley has been a full-time wedding DJ & Host since 2007 & owns Your DJ  Based in the New Forest near Southampton (Hampshire), he has been the resident DJ since 2011 at Careys Manor (in Brockenhurst) and a recommended supplier at several prestigious venues, notably Rhinefield House Hotel and Lainston House Hotel.

Having personally entered the awards several times, I know the process well, and with over 18 years’ experience as a full-time wedding professional, I’m in a strong position to judge the category in an informed, balanced, and impartial way.”

In addition to DJing, Toby also hosts entire wedding days in and around Hampshire & was among the first DJs to help popularise this concept back in 2010. His work has since inspired more DJs (and even magicians) to take on a more involved and respected role within the wedding industry. He also provides a photobooth service and a variety of extras, from LED dance floors to cold spark effects. Beyond weddings, Toby owns and operates Your AV, a company supplying sound, lighting, photography and visual solutions for corporate events and conferences.

Toby is a strong believer in collaboration over competition. Over the years, he has been an active member of several DJ groups and initiatives. In 2010, he founded the Hampshire DJ Alliance (HDA), which ran for 10 years. He has also contributed as a writer and photographer for Pro Mobile magazine (and its conference)  and has organised numerous events and workshops to help train and support DJs and hosts.
