The Tithe Barn is an all-in-one wedding and reception venue combining stately grandeur for an unforgettable civil ceremony or civil partnership ceremony with a beautiful indoor and outdoor space for your reception. Our soaring church-like stone arches lend themselves to those seeking a traditional atmosphere for the ceremony without a religious aspect, seating can be arranged to give a central walkway that resembles an aisle. 

The Tithe Barn can be the backdrop to the wedding of your dreams. With exclusive use for the whole day, you can turn it into something really special. Because you can hold the marriage ceremony and reception in the same place, the Tithe Barn is an ideal wedding party venue for Hampshire and West Sussex. 

The huge Barn seats 250 for your reception, although parties of 80 to 120 are more common. There is a fantastic indoor balcony overlooking the main hall that can be transformed into a cappuccino bar, ice cream parlour, Turkish tea bar, casino, photo booth … what will you do with it? The back wall and impressive arches are just begging to have our LED uplighting and an wall monogram!!

History of the Tithe Barn – Hampshire

The hamlet of Ditcham dates back to Saxon times. The lands were given to the Abbey of Durford by the Lord of the Manor of Harting in 1273. The Barn appears and disappears from maps over the centuries and the origin of the present building is shrouded in mystery. What we do know is that the Barn was originally of cruciate form, and it has been returned to this condition. The Tithe Barn, now listed Grade II*, has had many uses over the years. Now restored to its near original state, we offer this impressive building for hire, capturing an age gone by but with modern conveniences discreetly at hand.
