The Clock Barn wedding venue in Hampshire - An honest review from a wedding supplier
The Clock Barn is an authentic Barn event venue that specialises in weddings. it is based in Tuften Warren (Whitchurch) which is close to Winchester.
The barn itself is located in the middle of a very large Farm & it takes several minutes to get to driving along its private track. The Barn has been an events venue for many years and we started working there way back in 2008. Here is a video from 2010 which was when we started doing the all day hosting and management.
The barn comprises of one large space for ceremonies and the meal & a smaller area for the dancefloor & drinks receptions (if its a bit soggy outside). There is an additonal lounge area at the back which is a nice place for people to take kids or for older guests to get a bit of a rest.
The barn also has a lot of outside space & places to disappear too, including a small field – where they hold the outside ceremonies & a lot of little places for photography. We tend to see Mia Photography there quite often.
Although there is a lot of land at The Clock Barn at the venue the actual area that guests are allowed to congregate in is quite small but more than substantial. As professional wedding hosts this is a blessing as there is never any need to round up guests from remove locations as they are all in the same place. The main outside area, includes a lovely patio, grass & some other nice snug areas for couples or small groups to get away for a natter.
On the adjacent side of the Clock Barn gardens is the accommodation, which comprises of the House and a number of other rooms in the nearby buildings totaling 23 rooms altogether. From a DJ’s point of view, this is fabulous because you can guarantee that people will still be on the dance floor at 11pm as they only have to walk 50 meters at the end of the night.
The Clock Barn is quite frankly one of the slickest wedding venues we have every been to. Not only that, but they specialize in weddings & have a dedicated professional team on hand all day. The staff are very efficient & also friendly & accommodating which is always nice to see. As a supplier we often get fed & the food is also spot on! Easily on par with some of the 5 star hotels we work for!!
The main room holds up to 160 people for the ceremony & also the meal & can be set up in different formats. The Decor Company Luminique Events seem to be there every time we are so it’s well worth contacting them for what they offer.

The evening area in the Clock Barn is also brilliant for the dancing & there is a lot of space. Often the cake is cut the other side of the wooden partition so we will go out with our wireless mic and get guests to move into the dance area after. We have also done a number of cake cuts outside in the grounds, which is quite nice.
This usually precedes the first dance & we often include the photobooth kiosk on the dancefloor – which is cool. The full photo booth (which includes backdrop, attendant & guestbook) is often in the lounge area, close to the dance floor.
The evening party usually starts about 8pm & its good to give guests a bit of time after the meal to get some fresh air. This then goes on until 11:30 & we often do a fake ending at 11:20 and play a random track from your list after.
