Quick advice on what Music to supply for your wedding DJ set.
Your top 15-20 tracks (seperated for each of you) – can be anything that you like!
First dance & other important formal tracks (eg father daughter, meal entrance)
Ceremony music (20 mins background, entrance, exit & 2 x signing)
*Include the entrance and exit even for the evening as I might use it.
Music you DO NOT WANT. Artists and specific tracks.
Additional music for the evening & RSVP guest tracks (note they are from guests)
End of night music (usually very well known) – Sweet Caroline, Oasis etc.
Slower & more down tempo tracks (as i often just get the upbeat tracks)
Background music (if booked all day) – I tend to use chilled acoustic covers.
Here is a real working example of a set list from Bartley Lodge Hotel in the New Forest. The bride and groom love R&B & dance music. The wedding DJ set list is presented in the order of how it was played on the night. It takes in to consideration the first dance for the bride and groom, the buffet downtime and the high energy end of night. Also are requests on the night as well as the bride and grooms preferences.
